Bus & Rail Transportation

The MTA Light Rail Link offers a convenient and affordable way to travel from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) to downtown Baltimore and the Baltimore Convention Center.

  • The Light Rail station is located just outside the lower level of the BWI terminal near Concourse E.

  • Purchase a ticket at the station or through the CharmPass mobile app.

  • A one-way fare is $2.00.

Which Train to Take

  • Board a northbound train toward Hunt Valley.

  • Ride until you reach the Convention Center stop.

Travel Time

  • The trip from BWI to the Convention Center takes approximately 30 minutes.

  • Once you exit the station, the Convention Center and nearby hotels are within walking distance.

Prices are based on the average cost of a one-way trip with a travel time of 15 minutes from the airport.

Uber: $23 – $30

Charm City Circulator

Charm City Circulator is a free shuttle bus service designed to help individuals navigate Downtown, Inner Harbor, Fells Point, Federal Hill, and other popular neighborhoods.

The Charm City Circulator consists of five separate routes:

Banner Route: Inner Harbor to Fort McHenry
Cherry Route: Inner Harbor to Cherry Hill
Green Route: Johns Hopkins Hospital campus to North Avenue
Purple Route: 33rd Street to Federal Hill
Orange Route: Hollins Market to Harbor East
